Is it important to hear God's voice?  Let's just listen to one testimony from many that were given to me in the last few days.
"With the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I have the ability to better hear from God, express His Words and will to others; whereas before I would say "I have a feeling..."  Now I know it's "I have a Word from God".  It's God working in and through me; not myself wants and desires.  I have received more understanding and Godly wisdom on prophetic gifts.  I have gifts transforming and I'm not so reserved on using these gifts now (boldness with love).  I have authority over situations that occur, they do not have authority over me.  I seek and search God more and more, I better recognize it and release it."
